The season began brightly with a win for 莱科宁 at Melbourne. But in the first half of the season it was clear team mate 费利佩·马萨(Felipe Massa) had come to terms with the new 2007 tyres more quickly than 莱科宁, and it took until the eighth round at Magny-Cours for 莱科宁 to add another win.

It emerged 莱科宁 hasn’t been paid all season by the team, and with two races remaining 莱科宁 left the team.
